How certified translation works in Norway.
In Norway, a translation that must be accepted by an authority is usually stamped by a state-authorised translator (statsautorisert translatør). The title is held by individuals, not by agencies. risetranslate is not state-authorised. We arrange the work through state-authorised translators in our network.
This kind of authorisation exists only for language pairs with Norwegian. For a Polish to English document, there is no equivalent stamp.
Norwegian bodies such as UDI and NAV accept stamped translations in most cases. The receiving body decides what it needs. Ask them, and tell us what they say.
A stamp, a signature, a statement that the translation matches the original, and a copy of the original: that is what you receive.
- The stamp and signature of the translator.
- A statement that the translation matches the original.
- A copy of the original, attached.
Norwegian bodies such as UDI and NAV accept stamped translations in most cases. Check with the body that asked for the document.

Who does the work.
We take the order, check the file and deliver. The translating is done by translators we choose for the subject: legal for contracts, medical for patient texts, technical for manuals. Stamped work is signed by state-authorised translators in our network. We say who is doing what, and we do not claim a title that is not ours.
