WHO DOES THE WORK

Who does the work

Technical files go to translators who work with engineering and industrial texts. We ask for your existing glossary and previous translations, if you have them, and use them. Repeated terms are treated the same way every time.

How it works

  1. Send the files and any glossary

Add to cart for plain text, or upload for formatted files.

  2. We check scope

    Word count, format, price, date.

  3. Term list, then translation

We settle terms first, then translate.

  4. Check and deliver

A consistency pass, then files by email.

Questions about Technical translation

Can you work from our existing glossary?

Yes, and we prefer it. Send it with the file and we will follow it.

Do you translate text inside drawings and images?

If you send the editable source, yes. We cannot edit text baked into a picture without it.

What about InDesign or other formatted files?

That is desktop publishing. We quote it separately so the plain-text price stays honest.

How do you keep terms consistent over many documents?

We keep a term list for your account and apply it to every job.
